Jump Training
19/02/2008 by Cath.
Our Winter season Tuesday evening instructional rides at Warwickshire College alternate weekly between jump and flat lessons.
Our regular jump trainer, Derrick, is sadly very poorly at the moment and we send him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
With Derrick signed off sick for the foreseeable future I have discussed various options with a number of members and there seems general agreement for trying a mix of instructors on these Tuesday evening slots with variety of names already put forward.
We would very much like to keep the momentum going whilst Derrick is putting his energy into recovery so if you are interested in joining us on Tuesday evenings and have any suggestions for instructors please get in touch via training@stoneleighridingclub.co.uk

Petitions
03/02/2008 by admin.
I would ask all members to sign the petition asking the Government to give them a say in all new access & rights of way legislation.
Sign the petition at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Equestrianaccess/
Equestrians are the most vulnerable of road users& need increased off-road access for their safety & the welfare of their horses. Horse riding & carriage driving provides healthy outdoor exercise which the Government is keen to encourage, it is enjoyed by over 4 million peoplein the UK & is the second biggest land based industry but equestrians have not been included in the recent access- creating legislation which would help make them safer & encourage healthy outdoor recreation.
Please sign we can’t all ride on surfaces or use equestrian centres.
